The Snack magazine is a printed industry trade publication from the makers of AndNowUKnow. The Snack highlights the best of retail and supply-side innovations and innovators, as well as category snapshots and the latest in technological advancements. Personal profiles, company updates, and executive insights bring their viewership a fresh and unique outlook on the entire produce industry.

The Challenge

With the intention of being the Vanity Fair of the produce industry and released 9 times annually, The Snack was in a league of it’s own. Designers were given creative freedom (to an extent) to produce unique core story designs (6+ per issue) in addition to running 2 websites and the corresponding newsletters.

The Strategy

The process was fast and intentional. No good photos? Draw the design. Very little text? Infographic. Photographer late on getting your photos in on time? Design with empty boxes and speed edit them when they come in.

 The Project

I designed layouts, assisted in the direction of photoshoots, edited photos and created original artwork for the covers and articles. The quality of this magazine is unmatched among its competitors and the team worked tirelessly to out-do themselves with each publication.
